NATTUR is a trans-borders project of cooperation, between actors from Northern Catalonia and Ariège in South of France, who chose to support their development on tourism, in particular on outdoor activities. The challenge is to associate the conservation and the valuation of the natural heritage through touristic activity for the benefit of the Pyrenean territory. The aim is to set up the necessary conditions for the development of outdoor activities, in order to make of these territories protected and alive spaces. For that purpose, the project will act on several levers: - Experimentation and development of innovating models of territorial observation of outdoor activities, for a better management of tourism as a vector of territory development. - Structuring actions and support (accompaniment) of the development of the tourist companies, to increase and perpetuate the number and quality of companies in this sector. - Development of a sustainable tourism offer (facilities, events, services) , to enfavor economy, value natural heritage and optimize the impacts on the territories. - Strengthening of the competitiveness of cross-border tourist itineraries, which are the common thread of the project, improving the quality of reception, valuing heritage, adapting products to the customer target in order to maximise the impacts on the territory (The trail of the cathars GR 107, Last Cathar Trail +Sentier cathare).
