THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC CRISIS IS MARKING A NEW ERA AND RESEARCHERS, INDUSTRY EXPERTS AND AGRI-FOOD COMPANIES WILL FACE MANY CHALLENGES, INCLUDING THE DEVELOPMENT OF SUSTAINABLE FOOD SYSTEMS, THE REDUCTION OF WASTE OF RESOURCES AND FOOD, THE IDENTIFICATION OF NEW PROTEIN SOURCES, THE SEARCH FOR ECONOMICALLY COMPETITIVE AND SIMULTANEOUSLY FUNCTIONAL AND/OR FORTIFIED FOODS WITH BIOACTIVE AND ANTIOXIDANT COMPOUNDS THAT IMPROVE THE HEALTH AND IMMUNE SYSTEM OF CONSUMERS. IN ALL THESE AREAS, RECOGNISED AS STRATEGIC TRAJECTORIES ALSO BY THE AGRI-FOOD INDUSTRY OF VENETO, THE OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT ARE IDENTIFIED. THE SUSTAIN4FOOD PROJECT AIMS TO IMPROVE SUSTAINABILITY AND THE LEVEL OF INNOVATION OF THE VENETO AGRI-FOOD SECTOR, A PRODUCTION AREA OF EXCELLENCE, MAKING USE OF VARIOUS STRATEGIES AND FINANCIAL INTERVENTIONS AIMED AT STIMULATING INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH AND EXPERIMENTAL DEVELOPMENT. THE PROJECT INTENDS TO DEVELOP
