Refurbishment of the fire and rescue department building. The aim of the project is to refurbish the Department building, located in Šakiai, E. Steponaičio str. 2, in order to achieve the energy efficiency class of B buildings. During the project, energy saving measures will be invested. The estimated savings are estimated at 111.18 MWh/year each year. The renovated building will also be more environmentally friendly, with more energy savings and 49.96 tonnes of greenhouse gas (carbon dioxide) emissions per year in the atmosphere. The modernisation of these buildings will not only improve the energy and technical characteristics, extend the service life of the main building structures, but also create better working and stay conditions for employees and interested persons applying to the institution. The main activity of the project is the refurbishment of the building, during which the following actions will be implemented: Insulation of walls, plinths and foundations; Replacement of windows and exterior doors; Replacement of garage doors; Thermal insulation of the overlapped roof; Modernisation of the heating system; Thermal insulation of pitched roof; Lighting system renovation; Design and maintenance. The renovated building is owned by the State. The results of the project will be owned by the project applicant, i.e. the Fire and Rescue Department under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania. The building is intended to be used by its intended use for at least 10 years.
