THE CHRIS-2D PROJECT PROMOTES THE DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVE HEALTH SOLUTIONS BASED ON BIG DATA ANALYSIS AND BIOLOGICAL SAMPLES FROM THE SOUTH TYROLEAN POPULATION. THE INSTITUTE OF BIOMEDICINE OF EURAC RESEARCH HAS CARRIED OUT, WITH THE HEALTH COMPANY, THE LARGEST MOLECULAR STUDY OF POPULATION IN ITALY: THE COOPERATIVE HEALTH RESEARCH IN SOUTH TYROL (CHRIS) STUDY, WHICH COLLECTED OVER ONE MILLION BIOLOGICAL SAMPLES AND EPIDEMIOLOGICAL, MOLECULAR AND GENETIC DATA FROM 13,393 ADULTS IN VAL VENOSTA. IN ADDITION TO SERVING SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH, CHRIS COLLABORATES SUCCESSFULLY WITH COMPANIES OPERATING IN MOLECULAR DIAGNOSTICS, FOOD AND TELEMEDICINE, DEMONSTRATING THAT POPULATION STUDIES CAN BECOME POWERFUL TOOLS FOR BIOTECHNOLOGICAL INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT. CHRIS-2D WILL INVOLVE PRIVATE AND PUBLIC STAKEHOLDERS THROUGH A DYNAMIC DATA PORTAL CONNECTED TO THE DATABASE AND THE BIOBANK AND MANAGED BY CHRIS’S GOVERNANCE SYSTEM. THE PORTAL WILL FAVOR
