The project aims to mitigate the effects of the pandemic on Hässeholm's labor market, by working with women and men aged 18-64 who have become jobseekers on March 11, 2020 or later. The project has a strong focus on employers' needs and conducting needs surveys, as well as adapting the conditions for the participants through participation and individually adapted activities. The influx of participants is managed partly in collaboration with the Children and Education Administration to involve young people who have completed or dropped out of their education, but mainly in collaboration with the unit for social security. In this way, both job opportunities are created for people who are not part of the labor market, as well as possibilities to reduce the number of people who are in need of social security in the municipality of Hässleholm. The initiatives offered to the participants are individual coaching, group initiatives such as lectures and study visits for young people, internships and matching towards studies or work. The project also intends to organize a number of recruitment meetings and a job fair. During the 14 months that the project is in the implementation phase, an estimated 200 participants are enrolled, of which 110 are women and 90 are men. The gender division is based on current research which shows that women are disadvantaged in the labor market, and in the municipality of Hässleholm this applies especially to foreign-born women. The goal is for at least 150 participants to go on to work or studies, of which at least 50 of these are young people.
