In the G building of the VUB campus in Etterbeek, the teaching and research activities of the Faculty of Science and Bioscience Engineering take place. The building dates back to 1975 and is no longer in energy order. To remedy this, the building will be renovated layered by layer. In the first phase, the top two floors (G8 and G9) will be approached (13 % of the surface area uses 54 % of the total energy of the building). These two layers will be almost completely stripped. ERDF funding will be used for the three sections with an impact on energy efficiency and CO2 emissions.
