Municipality of Dordrecht

The Dutch government is using ESF 2014-2020 to promote active inclusion of people with distance from the labour market. Coordinating municipality of Dordrecht has been designated by the State Secretary of SZW as an ESF grant applicant for the labour market region of Drechtsteden. From 2010 onwards, AMR Drechtsteden has been firmly committed to improving labour market participation and boosting employment. In collaboration between the municipalities of Alblasserdam, Dordrecht, Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, Papendrecht, Sliedrecht and Zwijndrecht, the Labour Market Policy programme has been launched, which is part of the Regional Multiyears Programme Drechtsteden. The collaborating municipalities, education and business are striving for a vital economy, in which labour market participation and employment are essential. AMR Drechtsteden wants to continue on the road in the coming years. AMR Drechtsteden will invest the ESF funds to be obtained for 2016-2018 in combating youth unemployment and increasing the possibilities for sustainable labour integration, which have been agreed with 9 implementers: Health and Youth Department ZHZ/RMC, TriviumLindenhof Foundation, Alblasserdam municipality, Da Vinci College (ROC), Spon/Specialists in Passend Education, Stichting Leerwerkbedrijf Zwijndrecht Werkt (LZW), Stichting Vrienden van de Hoop, Stichting De Werkshop and Stichting Helpende Handen Nederland. The ESF grant is used to guide the broad target group of ESF beneficiaries — step-by-step — towards employment/paid work: barriers to work, young people (aged 27), over 50, NUO, > 6 months benefit municipality or UWV and status holders.
