Municipality of Dordrecht

The government is using ESF 2017-2018 to promote active inclusion of (ex) apprentices PrO/vso by focusing on job management and increasing the possibilities of labour integration. These are vulnerable young people who are at risk of early school leaving, thus failing to gain a start-up qualification or finding and/or retaining a sustainable place in the labour market. In the labour market region of Drechtsteden, chain partners (RMC, municipalities, UWV, Employersservicepunt et al.) work together to promote the employment rate of PrO/VSO youth, including the schools themselves. However, it is not self-evident that young people with a need for support are able to secure and/or retain a place in the labour market in a sustainable way. Although work management and sustainable labour integration/labour integration of pupils and school leavers have already been addressed in recent years, the coordinating municipality of Dordrecht aims to facilitate PrO/vso in the labour market region of Drechtsteden to be able to invest in the transition of (ex) pupils from school to work, without prejudice to the additional ESF resources in the labour market region of Drechtsteden. ESF resources are used to give a qualitative and quantitative boost to this, thereby improving the connection with the regional labour market. The participating schools are: De Sprong (PrO) in Sliedrecht, Hans Petrischool (PrO) in Dordrecht, spon VSO De Stroom in Dordrecht, spon VSO School Bleyburgh in Sliedrecht, Wartburg College (PrO) in Dordrecht and Yulius Education (vso) in Dordrecht.
