The Zeeland municipalities and schools for Practical Education and Secondary Special Education recognise that cooperation is needed to ensure a good labour market perspective for vulnerable young people. The use of resources from the European Social Fund creates financial scope for realising this awareness. The use of ESF funds has as a direct effect the creation of additional space to better shape the labour market management of 200 pupils in VSO and PrO schools. But perhaps more importantly: as the labour market region and schools share responsibility for the ESF project, the cooperation previously established is continuing and is given a new impetus. In order to further increase the effectiveness of the cooperation, the Zeeland VSO and PrO schools have previously united in the Zeeland Foundation Maatwerk. Establishing this link will make it easier for schools and municipalities in the labour market region to find each other in achieving the common objective: ensure sustainable employment for young people for whom this is not self-evident.
