The coronavirus crisis is doing the world, doing the Netherlands, shaking the Hague region on its foundations. The municipalities in the Hague region are working to recover from the effects of the coronavirus crisis in the coming years and in the longer term. The aim of this REACT project is to present interventions that are quickly achievable and which we expect to address the main negative effects of the coronavirus crisis. Looking at the social impact analysis, this project focuses on direction to work, retraining and participation: those who do not work or are in school gain experience and contribute. The regional municipalities pay special attention to youth and young adults and therefore work with many measures on traineeships, work, study places and perspective. Priority is given to guidance from work to work, including for self-employed and flex workers. Municipalities provide sustainable employment opportunities for residents who have been relying on assistance for a long time, including people with disabilities. For example, through close cooperation with social entrepreneurs, stronger cooperation with companies in promising sectors, and we broaden schemes such as dot or SROI. It also accelerates the expansion of public-private partnerships and 500+ projects to realise these job opportunities. This group has not now been affected by coronavirus in their work, but it is important to prevent the coronavirus crisis from further reducing their opportunities and increasing their problems.
