The aim of the project is to develop the capacity for community initiative and action in the designated parts of Zalaegerszeg, and to strengthen community engagement. The overall objective of the project is to develop Zalaegerszeg’s capacity for community initiative and action in the targeted areas defined by the project, which affects more than 50,000 people in total, in such a way that thanks to the project they recognise the importance of the community as a forging force and understand that participation in community life at the level of the individual also means managing their own life and taking responsibility for ourselves. The project plan complies with the conditions set out in point 3.4 of the call as follows: During the implementation of the project, we use the community working method for all project elements. The preparation of the project plan is based on a short preliminary target group analysis, which, together with the needs assessment, is contained in the underlying document. The project plan also corresponds to the scale of the community development process, given that 4 target areas are involved in the project. Activities 1. Community survey and planning 2. Community Historical Exploration 3. Catalogue of Traditions: the aim of the activity is to explore and revitalise local traditions. 4. Local knowledge exhibition and competition: the aim of the exhibitions is to create an active community life. 5. Interactive calendar of events: the aim is to create a database of local events with the active involvement of the public. 6. Community building publications: the publications — The history of our Egerszeg, our proud Zalaegerszeg, 47th battalion, Zalaegerszegi TE historical publication, Várhidy publication, Zalaegerszegi Fine Artists capable album — aims to strengthen local identity and create lokalpatriot existence. 7. Carpathian camp: The aim of the project component is to provide the children of Zalaegerszeg with national programmes and to create a forum that can be the smelting camp of the youth in Zalaegerszeg. 8. “In my time”: the aim of the project element is to bring together the different age groups in the target area, either through stories or through the practice of folk traditions believed to be forgotten. 9. Club life: its aim is to master folk art traditions and to disseminate knowledge for all ages of the population. 10. Event series: The series of events are organised within the framework of the cultural communities, with the aim of getting to know the historical roots of the local population and those living in the target area. The following events will be organised within the framework of cultivating communities: 1848-1849 Historical Conference, World War I Conference, World War II Conference, Trinaon Conference; Zalaegerszeg TE conference, Church Enforcement Conference; Hunting traditions in Zalaegerszeg. 11. Active Zalaegerszeg event series: The aim of the activity is to familiarise the population in the target area — both young and old — about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle: movement, healthy eating, regular screening tests. 12. Development of a Community website: Its aim is to provide the population of the city with an overview of the local community life, interactively — the possibility of uploading images using a moderator — to participate in the community life. 13. Mobile application development: With the help of the application, people living in the settlement receive information about local program opportunities, administrative processes, and it is also possible to create groups specifically. The resulting groups can be organised to revitalise cultural life, but can also be created by mothers or widows’ clubs. The software is closely linked to the smart city program. 14. About Egerszeg among themselves: creation of participatory forums. 15. Kayak-canoe club: building community life through sport. 16. Show me your city: implementation of language training and general tourism training. 17. Rózsák’s Renewable Space and Renewable Community Space: activities to promote community activity. 18. Drive wisely: implementation of a series of trainings on cycling for preschoolers. 19. The publication and filming of Tamás Tódor’s book in the form of community-forming activities — the book is set in Zalaegerszeg and runs through the history of the city in the form of a crime. In addition to these activities, an information point will be created, as well as the analysis and, if necessary, renewal of documents of strategic importance for the city. During the project, the local government sees the performance of the project management activity, and no extra costs are incurred in the application.
