Zalaegerszeg’s Integrated Territorial Programme entitled “Developments in Zalaegerszeg Economic Zones” was named in 6.1. His ideas for the tender with code number 6.1.1-16 planned in the economic development measure. The planned development is to be carried out within the framework of the ‘Construction and construction of new buildings related to production and service activities, and the implementation of the necessary technical building investments’, as defined in point 3.1.1(B)(b) of the call for proposals. In the framework of the project, we also plan to purchase equipment, in accordance with point 3.1.2.2.(b) of the Call. In the grant application, only a project idea is outlined and presented, the technical and professional content is developed during the project development period. The location of the project is property No 4815/6 of Zalaegerszeg. The property is owned by the Municipality of Zalaegerszeg Municipality, the property is well-established. The property is classified as a special zone K-o and complies with the specifications of point 3.4.1.1.f) of the invitation to tender. The main task of economic development over the last decade has been to create as many new jobs as possible. The success of local and national economic policy is evidenced by the fact that the main challenge is no longer to create employment opportunities for the long-term unemployed, but to meet the ever-increasing need for a workforce. The free labour force available, the registered unemployed, largely lacks the skills that would meet employers’ expectations. Pupils who leave schoolrooms also have more theoretical knowledge; in order to be able to do a full-fledged work, they still need to have practical experience. This will take longer. In today’s competitive market environment, businesses are forced to make rapid decisions to obtain new orders. A limited time interval is usually available to meet these. In this way, there is little time for new, full-fledged employees to be put into work. We would like to provide an opportunity to remedy this deficiency by building a hall, where the skills of the workforce are increased under operating conditions and in a competitive market environment. Of course, this would not be feasible without the involvement of market participants. Innovative companies operating in our city, which are at the forefront of research development, also see an opportunity to solve the problem of their workforce. The majority of employers, mainly micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, are unable to maintain or run their own workshops. The solution is to bring these businesses together. In a competitive market environment, during the execution of real orders, the practical knowledge of the workforce is increased. In order to do this, the hall, which will be built within the framework of the tender, provides an infrastructure. By creating a higher level of skills in the workforce, investment contributes to maintaining and increasing employment. With the entry of workers with practical skills in the hall, the development of infrastructure in other projects will result in a complex service quality improvement that contributes closely to the development of the companies operating in the Science and Technology Park and to the increase in the attractiveness of Zalaegerszeg County City investment, thus ensuring the conditions for the economic development of our city. Within the framework of the project, we will carry out a brownfield investment. We plan the construction of an industrial plant hall with a floor area of 1 400 m², in terms of function, metal sheet machining and component manufacturing. With the design of the hall, machine cutting, welding and locksmith workshops, their service rooms, as well as infrastructural conditions are realised, with related internal roads and car parks, paved and landscaped surfaces, public utility connections. The function of the planned building also provides an opportunity to work in modern conditions for industrial learners, as well as to train internships, in addition to production. Within the framework of the project, the municipality creates the necessary infrastructural conditions for operation, and the necessary tools and machines are provided by the installed and productive companies. The exact content of the development is determined by the documents to be developed during the project development phase. Our project qualifies as investment aid for the development of local infrastructure, the amount of the operating result is subsequently deducted from the eligible costs by applying a reimbursement mechanism, specifying the aid intensity. The State aid classification of eligible activities will be reviewed at the end of the project development.
