Good neighbours — community development in Szolnok district

The project will be implemented in the form of a consortium. The consortium is headed by the Municipality of Besenyszög, who carries out all the organisational functions related to the implementation. The Contracting Parties shall set up a consortium to submit a grant application under the Territorial and Settlement Development Operational Programme in response to the call number TOP-5.3.1-16, Strengthening Local Identity and Cohesion and, if supported, to establish a sustainable good neighbourhood — to create community development activities in Szolnok district, which would be implemented by joint cooperation. The participating members shall: The Municipality of Besenyszög (Consortium leader) and the consortium are composed of the Municipalities of Kőtelek, Nagykörű, Szászberek and Zagyvarékas and the Municipality of Újszász. Each local authority is responsible for the tasks to be performed in the project for those belonging to it. They are jointly responsible for keeping professional material up to date, for the operation of the website, for the preparation of an annual calendar of events. The objectives of the project céljai:Fejlesztési are: 1.strengthening local identity and cohesion 2.Development of local communities 3.developing communes, parts of settlements, and regions’ capacity for community initiative and action, 4. Strengthening community engagement, promoting the responsibility of the members of the community towards each other, strengthening local civil society, strengthening civic activity, the necessary competences (local community conflict management, independent capacity to act), volunteering and local identity, strengthening ties to settlements and regions, increasing the capacity of the region to retain the population, strengthening cooperation between cultural institutions, qualitative change in the life of settlements and settlement communities.
