Since 2002, the construction of a bicycle road network linked to the local, regional and national road network and the international EuroVelo network has increased significantly in Hungary. The developments were essentially induced in two directions: in the framework of the development of a cycling road network for tourism and professional traffic. At present, the country has a total of 2,000-2.500 km long cycle path network. Cycling, not only as a hobby or leisure activity, must be understood today, but also its role in health promotion, tourism and working life is also crucial. The construction of the cycle path network in the surroundings of cities is currently incomplete and needs to be significantly expanded. In addition, in order to facilitate the development of sustainable community mobility, the construction of cycle paths, the promotion of cycling, the cycling-friendly development of the road network and at the same time the creation of a coherent system of cycle paths are of paramount importance. In the framework of the project, we plan to build an 806.5 m long two-way bike path in Demén, which is linked to the construction of the city of Eger and the network of bicycle and cycle paths through Bükk. The planning area is located in the interior of the village of Demén, in the K part of the village, next to the 24129 — Demén road (Rózsa Ferenc út and Petőfi Sándor út) and on Kossuth Square. As part of the project, we will review the public utilities in the track, the necessary replacements (e.g. candelearers, electric poles), the development of ditches to be covered by the new bicycle path, and the construction of a 165.40 m long pavement refurbishment and a bicycle storage facility. a) The aim of the project is to: The overall objective of the project is to implement transport development measures in Demén to create and strengthen the conditions for sustainable transport, which contribute to climate change mitigation, the reduction of CO2 emissions, the development of a liveable urban and municipal environment and the achievement of the sustainable development and transport goals of the EU2020 and the National Transport Infrastructure Development Strategy. The development to be carried out aims at making urban mobility more environmentally and financially sustainable and contributes to the direct growth of the value of the TOP Priority Results Indicator 3, both locally and indirectly at national level. The aim of the project is to connect the end section of the cycle path between Egerszalók-Demén and the town centre of Demén with the cycle path, which was built in 2015. In the village center you can find the mayor’s office, the post office, the Tourist Information Office, the kindergarten, the doctor and the pharmacy, and there is a tourist community space where tourist events are organised. An important goal is to get the guests from the Cascade Cave and Experience Bath at the border of the village, from Egerszalok to the centre of Demjen, where they have the opportunity to buy tourist craft products, purchase information publications about the sights, search for accommodation and participate in events. More people use the cycle path every day to get to the workplace, as more than 50 people from Demjen work in the spa in Demen and Egerszalók. The further aim of the project is to facilitate networking, as part of further development, connecting the settlements of Demjén and Kerecsend with a bicycle path. With the implementation of the project, the five major tourist centers in the region -Eger-Egerszalók-Demén-Thermal and thermal water valley-Bükk National Park — Miskolctapolca-Lillafüred, and the Mezőkövesdi area (Zsóry Bath-Bogács) and Lake Tisza can be networked, so that depending on the guest’s choice, they can choose a few hours or several days of cycling with bath visits and other cultural experiences. Target groups of the project: Direct: — those opting for cycling, such as travelling, star-tours — shorter, 1-3 day cycling tours — those who opt for a one-day cycling trip as part of a holiday — those opting for leisure cycling — people who go to transport work, to kindergartens, office managers — tourists vacationing in the settlement Indirect: — the population of the settlement b) The technical and technical content of the project, together with the presentation of the selected self-eligible and independent non-eligible activities, is an activity that is self-eligible: — Cycling-friendly development: The planned cycle path starts from the end of the cycle path between Egerszalók — Demén, which ends at the end of the É part of the settlement (section 4+ 899 km of the 24129 — Demén road). The planned route, with the exception of minor deviations, runs parallel to the state road. The planned cycle path from Petőfi Sándor street (at the 4+ 220 km section of the 24129-Demén road) will be turned to Kossuth Square at the 0+ 650 km section of the cycle path. The track of the cycle path runs pa...
