The project concerns the community and economic development of the green surface and the associated municipal-owned buildings located in the action area designated in the centre of Nagyatád (Baross G. u. — Dózsa Gy. u. — Beregszászi u. — Bajcsy Zs. u.- Korányi S. u.- Hunyadi u.- Árpád u. — Szabó D. u. — railway track) and the associated municipal-owned buildings, with environmentally conscious, family- and climate-friendly urban areas. The development fulfils several of the specific objectives of the city’s ITS, e.g. the development of a directed cityscape, the purpose of transport development which coincides with the project objective. In addition, it is linked to the localisation of the population, investment incentives and sustainability goals. Among the objectives of the part of the city, the goal of continuing to rehabilitate the green surface and public space system, and the renovation of the building stock, are also linked to the objective of the project. By creating an orderly environment, strengthening the tourism potential and localisation of patriotism is also fit for purpose. The action area is the same as the ITS city centre action area. Typical uses of the areas covered by the development according to OTÉK: — green area, public park, transport and utilities (road), — urban centre mixed area, pedestrian zone, mixed-use road and footpath. Several of the sites are classified as protected areas of local importance. Individually eligible for: A.) Main activity: Within the designated action area, the plant stock of green surfaces will be reconstructed and increased in Széchenyi park. Care works, new plant levels, shrubs, tree rows are established in the area. B.) Main activity I. Promoting economic activity: Modernisation of 1 storeroom at Széchenyi Square 1/a. B.) Main activity II. Development of a non-profit service house with community objectives in Széchenyi Square 25 building. It used to be an elementary school, which, due to its degraded state, was underused, unused. The reconstruction of the building will be realised: replacement of doors and windows, refurbishment and insulation of exterior and interior coverings; refurbishment of mechanical equipment and electrical network, creation of garden green spaces and parking areas (7 + 1 barrier-free). It hosts civil society organisations, associations, cultural and other community groups. An optional activity that is not eligible on its own. On Széchenyi Square, the construction of a water-playing and community space, the renovation of a drinking fountain and a World War II monument, the installation of carved natural stone seat cubes, the construction of a seating wall on the west side of the park and the purchase of street furniture. In addition to infrastructural developments, it is not eligible for self-sufficiency to be implemented on a mandatory basis: Accessibility of the building at 25 Széchenyi Square. As soft activities, the “Environmental awareness and integrated approach among the population”, “Human capacity development” and “Development image and identity development” programme packages related to the development goals will be implemented. Public Provision and Partnership Planning and related marketing and communication are implemented. Our project does not lead to an increase in the proportion of the population with low status in the action area or in other areas of the city. City centre interventions have an impact on the entire municipality due to the catalysing effect of the centre. Civil organisation and community development improves the standard of living of the low-status population throughout the settlement. The investment made during the project was made in a cost-effective way with a realistic and economical budget. The main results of the project are: 1 upgraded store: 37.6 m², civil service and community house: 877.7 m², renewable green areas 3 700 m², open space created/recovered in urban areas under the project: 3 720 m². No financial revenue is expected from the recreational elements implemented and green areas. The costs necessary for the maintenance shall be covered by the budget of the municipality. The applicant municipality has appropriate specialists (garden engineer) to take care of the park. The Cultural and Sport Centre of Nagyatád will be maintained by the Civil Service and Community House, which guarantees the operation and maintenance of appropriate professional supervision and content, as well as to ensure operation beyond the 5-year maintenance period. Our project complies with point 4.4.2 3. of the call for proposals. Mandatory publicity and other communication activities are also carried out in accordance with the conditions laid down in its content and evaluation criteria (detailed needs assessment and utilisation plan Chapter 2.1.3).
