Tolna County’s flagship economic development and rural development project is the development of the Sió Canal (total length 120 km) passing through its territory at a length of 100 km, connecting Lake Balaton and the Danube, creating opportunities for active tourism on the water and on the waterfront. Tourism developments built on Sio are carried out in 3 projects by the Tolna County Municipality.The TOP-1 development of the city of Tolna County is carried out in three projects. The TOP-1 project with the registration number TOP-1-15-TL1-2016-00019, the project “Sió Water Tourism Development I.” entered into force on 6 June 2017, a planned completion on May 31, 2019. In the project there is professional cooperation between the consortium partners, as well as on the basis of a cooperation agreement with Szekszárd MJV.The continuation of the two projects, the implementation of the missing elements there is a complex water tourism service centre in the present project, and the establishment of the centre’s cycling connection with the bike path established in the Sió II. project will be realised. On a plot of 3 495 m² owned by Szekszárd Kayak-Kenu SE (hrsz: Szekszárd-Palánk 01633/3, directly on the Sió coast) a complex tourist service centre will be set up, which will allow you to enter the Sió and its catchment area in a water, booty, cycling mode and to get to know its values.The building will be the central base of the ecotourism network, mainly for the storage and maintenance of the water tourism, logistics and equipment park. In front of the building there will be a bicycle store, according to Chapter 11 of the NAME, we also provide the minimum content for the required cycling rest areas, as well as the bicycle friendly project elements, with free access for all cyclists, and spare parts at replacement price, without profit. It also has an indoor reception area and a buffet where they can sell souvenirs.This provides business opportunities for SMEs, since the operation will be carried out by an external contractor after an open selection procedure.The useful floor area is 354 m²: welcome apron, buffet and service spaces, changing rooms, showers, office, mechanical premises.It will be possible to separate waste collection.The construction of a connecting road and parking lot will not be built.The centre is open at least 270 days of the year.The planned location and content of the development has already been agreed with the Hungarian Kajak-Kenu Association in advance, a document on conciliation for milestone 1. In order to establish the missing bicycle road connections, the bicycle path will be constructed on the right bank of Sió at a length of 3 485 fm by the Municipality of Tolna County.The bicycle road, which is owned by the Hungarian State and led on the flood-protection embankment managed by the Central Transdanubia Water Directorate, is constructed with asphalt concrete paved pavement speeds above 20 km/h, from a bicycle bridge planned at the mouth of the Sió Canal-Völgység stream to the water exit to be established at the centre. it is connected to the bicycle road planned by Szekszárd MJV Municipality in the framework of TOP-6.1.4-15. We comply with the technical guidelines of the operator, we have received their consent. We plan in accordance with the Technical Specification for Roads (Rule 2-1,203). There is no archaeological site registered in the area, not part of a Natura 2000 site.The expected traffic is 1000-2000 bicycles/day, it runs outside the residential area, regardless of the vehicle network. Traffic signs, tourism information and information boards are placed.The planned location and content will be discussed with the Bicycle Hungary Association, the signed document will be submitted in connection with the first milestone. To the closing payment request, we attach the NFMKKF certificate on the uploading of KENYI.The maintenance is undertaken by the Tolna County Municipality during the maintenance period. Public procurement, marketing, mandatory publicity, business plan, marketing strategy, cycling sustainability plan are the responsibility of Tolna County Municipality.
