Development of the southern industrial area in Nagyatád

The project is located in the southern part of the town of Nagyatád, along the road to Tarany, in the brownfield area of the former Nagy Antal Laktanya of Buda. The aim of the project is to promote the creation of an attractive investment environment by developing the infrastructure necessary for economic activity in the degraded brownfield former barracks. This contributes to improving the competitiveness of enterprises, ensuring the infrastructure background of inter-company cooperation, a stronger integration of established companies into the local economy, and the complex and quality development of infrastructure and services in the industrial area. Our aim is to improve the technical and professional conditions of investment, maintain industrial growth and increase its settlement, thereby creating jobs in the region. The aim is to rehabilitate the hydrocarbon-contaminated soil in the former barracks and to establish a direct road connection to the southern industrial area with the Berzence-Nagyatád state road, which allows access to the industrial area to be accessible without touching the city centre. The technical content of the project is carried out in the area of the Nagylaktanya. Road network development, electricity network development, water, sewage and gas network development and remediation of contaminated sites will take place. The development of fixed infrastructure is carried out in areas 0220/44 and 022/24. The decontamination concerns area 0220/29. The development concerns areas 0220/43, 0220/56, 0220/66, 0220/68, 0220/27, 0220/28, 0220/30 and 0220/75, on which, following the construction of the land, nine municipally owned plots that can be used as sites are formed. There are currently five companies in the barracks, and five organisations rent real estate from the Municipality. The need for development is supported by the demand from local businesses for industrial land with infrastructure that can be used as a site. There is a large number of free workers in the area, which can serve the needs of the enterprises that are set up in the area. From an urban point of view, it is also important to address the industrial area approach by reducing the pressure of the city centre and to address the problem of contaminated land by remediation. The project is in line with the Territorial and Settlement Development Operational Programme, since the aim of the development is to provide local and local economic development based on internal resources, economic recovery and employment promotion, as well as to support the development of municipal business infrastructure and services necessary for local economic development in the areas. As part of the business infrastructure, the creation of municipal infrastructure conditions linked to local care is a priority area for the development of the project, resulting in the strengthening of local entrepreneurs and the expansion of employment. The project fully complies with the objectives set out in the Call for Proposals, as the proposed tender is aimed at “development, development, building and expansion of basic infrastructure, development of industrial areas, development of fixed infrastructure for the accessibility and exploration of industrial areas” in order to improve the business environment and business infrastructure. The development resulting from the project, the developed brownfield industrial area, provides a direct and indirect opportunity to create new jobs and to increase employment through the improvement of the operating conditions of the enterprises established and settled in the area. The overall long-term objective of the programme is to catch up with the more developed regions of the country. The measure aims at the development of industrial areas where the most efficient use of resources can be made. In the implementation of the measure, preference should be given to those locations where some kind of development has already started and there is a need for further expansion, the effect of such developments is to strengthen its role of economic development in the micro-regional region and to become a very effective tool for strengthening relations with economic operators in the municipalities of the region. The municipality contributes to the long-term objectives of the call by developing the infrastructure of the industrial area and ensuring its accessibility. The project is fully in line with the objectives set out in the Call: the objective of “the development of industrial areas, the construction and expansion of basic infrastructure, the development of fixed infrastructure to facilitate the accessibility and exploration of industrial areas” is fully aligned with the design of the industrial area as a result of the planned development.
