The direct objective of the investment is to reduce the energy use of the buildings of the Budapest Metropolitan Municipality (hereinafter referred to as the Municipality) by increasing energy efficiency and using renewable energy sources, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and dependence on fossil fuels. The objectives of the project are to comply with the energy efficiency directives set by the European Union and to reduce the energy renovation and maintenance costs of buildings in the property management of the Municipality. The buildings to be upgraded under the project do not comply with the existing 7/2006. The requirements of Decree No 24/2000 of the Minister for National Development.
