Energy development of the buildings of the Ministry of Defence

The direct objective of the investment is to reduce the energy use of institutions in the property management of the Ministry of Defence (hereinafter referred to as ‘HM’) by using renewable energy sources, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and dependence on fossil fuels. The energy efficiency development of the HM institutions is one of the priority objectives of the portfolio. The objectives of the project are to comply with the energy efficiency guidelines set by the European Union and to reduce the building energy development and maintenance and operation costs of the institutions in HM’s asset management. The buildings to be upgraded under the project do not comply with the existing 7/2006. The requirements of Decree No 24/2000 of the Minister for National Development. The energy investment achieved will reduce global environmental pressure and greenhouse gas emissions in compliance with the EU Energy Efficiency Directive, strengthening the environmentally conscious energy use of the Ministry of Defence and the Hungarian Defence Forces.
