Development of a complex waste management system in the area of the South Great Plain Region Waste Management Association, with special regard to the separate waste collection, transport and pre-treatment system

It is intended to be implemented from the entire area of the Association for the treatment of mixed waste prior to disposal, supplemented by a mechanical treatment, optical sorting equipment. During operation, leachate from rainwater and wind discharge cause a lot of problems. Accordingly, it is recommended to include the technology in an insulated, indoor hall. It is advisable to purchase the machinery and equipment necessary for the operation and addition of the mechanical operator at the site. These are: — in the case of drying equipment for stabilising material from the operator, — commercial bale storage, — forklifts, — front loaders, — industrial loaders, — baling machines, in the case of paper, metal and plastic packaging waste, only the material collected during separate collection in a relatively clean state can be sorted and recycled. The conditions for collection are largely met, but in order to cover the total number of properties, it is appropriate to purchase additional 120, 240 and 1100 litres selective bottles as well as glass collection containers. Collection routes need to be condensed according to the number of properties and the increasing amount of waste, therefore the separate collection fleet for separate collection needs to be developed. In the context of the development of separate collection, the purchase of collection vehicles is justified for the collection of glass waste. The number of selective waste collection islands is planned to be increased in the project area. The aim is to make separate waste collection accessible to as many inhabitants as possible. On the basis of the needs assessment, a further waste collection island suitable for the collection of four fractions would be developed. There would also be 4 containers for paperboard, plastic, white and coloured bottles per island. In order to further reduce biodegradable material released into mixed waste, it is appropriate to introduce home composting vessels. The acquisition and distribution of composting vessels (primarily in small communities) is planned in the project area, in those settlements where it is not possible to achieve cost-effectively the separate collection of green waste. In order to expand waste reception facilities, it is necessary to establish a new waste yard in the isolated district of Szeged. The purchase of a “mobile waste yard, re-use container” is planned to serve village settlements (roll car with trailer and suitable containers). In order to ensure separate collection of green waste, it is appropriate to purchase containers for the collection of green waste in collection centres. As a follow-up to the current supply related to the collection of mixed-waste, it was planned to purchase collection containers with additional chips in addition to the existing 50,000 chips, as well as chip readers for the installation of available collection vehicles. It is appropriate to extend and develop the leachate purification and treatment system at the landfill site.
