The water supply of the village of Jászszentandrás is provided by a water purification plant located in area No 1129/3. The water base and the water utility are owned by the Municipality of Jászszentandrás, and was operated by Andrástermál Kft. until 30 June 2012, from 1 July 2012 to Tiszament Regional Waterworks Ltd. (Szolnok, Kossuth L. u. 5.). Drinking water extracted from wells does not comply with the requirements of Government Decree 201/2001 (X.25.), the ammonium, iron and manganese content and sometimes the arsenic content is higher than permitted. The quality of drinking water supplied from the existing purification plant does not meet the requirements. The ammonium and manganese content of the supplied drinking water exceeds the limit value and therefore does not comply with the water quality parameters set out in the Government Decrees. No water treatment other than extraction from wells, degassing, de-fermentation and disinfection takes place. The aim of the project is to supply the inhabitants of the village with healthy drinking water. The project is carried out in the administrative area of Jászszentandrás. The reconstruction does not exceed 20 5 of the total eligible costs.
