Development of disaster management systems in the Balaton region

The aim of the project is to make the response capacity of the disaster management bodies more effective in order to preserve the safety of life and property of citizens in the region of Lake Balaton. To achieve this goal, the project focuses on two main areas: With the development of rescue activities, the basic goal is to ensure that disaster management forces are able to arrive at the site in a shorter time, with more modern equipment, and more efficient in carrying out life-saving and elimination of damage, and that the negative environmental impacts caused by the tools and intervention procedures used are at the lowest intensity. In addition, the objective of the BM OKF is to ensure the elimination of forest, bush and reed fires that are increasingly frequent in difficult places with efficient technical equipment and appropriate mobility vehicles. The priority objective of the selection of vehicles is to achieve the highest possible utilisation of the intended tasks and multi-purpose functionality, so that the procurement process (manufacturing) and operation of the equipment is carried out with optimal use of resources (energy efficiency). Another main development area of the project is the modernisation of the Balaton storm alarm system, the development and extension of an effective and rapid alarm, as well as information to the resorts and local residents about this. The aim is to upgrade the previously established sites by installing modern LED signalling devices
