Gyenesdiás through Climate Consciousness — multigenerational awareness-raising program

The overall goal is to implement a sustainability campaign among residents, workers and students in an environmentally conscious village of Zalai Lake Balaton. The specific aim is to transfer the knowledge needed for saving energy, to educate the ways of saving in family houses, home equipment and transport. The target groups are children aged 3-18, their parents, the interested population of the settlement and the employees of the institutions involved in the project as individuals. Energy-conscious thinking and related behavioural patterns and habits are disseminated through the active involvement of the individuals involved. The climate-friendly child’s representative body form is being launched, which has already taken place at the level of conscious community-building and the involvement of young people. In addition, my nature researcher will maintain and expand the eco-school teaching park and its interactive, related programs with active programs. The planned programmes will enable target groups to become more aware of energy saving, energy efficiency, renewable and alternative energy solutions and opportunities, thus changing consumer and social perceptions. Our project fits the objectives of this call: a broad and active participation of the target groups will be achieved in the framework of at least 3 actions that cannot be independently supported. The aim of the project is to contribute to the national climate policy goals by raising awareness of the CO2 emissions by reducing the consumption of fossil fuels and raising awareness of the benefits of renewable energy sources and their use.
