Biatorbágy’s local climate strategy

Objectives of the upcoming climate strategy for Biatorbágy: • Provide an appropriate basis for the future development directions of the city, encouraging its transition to a climate-conscious development path. • A comprehensive and sector-specific, focused analysis document to identify the climate change challenges and challenges in Biatorbágy. • Describe key environmental problems and challenges, as well as climate-specific aspects of society, the built environment and economy. • The Local Government, the proposals and needs of the relevant local actors are included in the document. • On the basis of the analyses, a realistic, realistic vision and a target system should be developed, based on broad support. • Measures should be multifaceted, understandable and applicable to the local population. • The document provides all the information in a language that is understandable to everyone about the city’s climate problems and solutions and answers. The aim of the awareness-raising projects is for Biatorbágy: • The aim of promoting climate awareness is to improve the quality of life of citizens (especially segregated and outlying areas) and to reduce environmental health impacts on the population through the knowledge acquired. • Therefore, the main objective of awareness-raising measures is to present the positive effects of conscious energy consumption on the life of the individual through effective and diverse means of communication. o The involvement of several groups of actors, in particular children, in order to increase climate-conscious behaviour. Active cooperation with local institutions, schools and kindergartens, organisation and organisation of programs, events and lectures. Presentation of good practices, presentation of problems, challenges and solutions at local level. o Participation in local events, increasing the activity and sensitisation of those living here. By joining the events, we address the population with full-day presentations and programs, highlighting environmental and nature conservation NGOs, and specifically targeting primary and secondary school children. o The programs are accompanied by continuous communication activities (press release, online counselling, reporting and radio interviews). We plan to produce publications and representation material for awareness-raising programmes. In conclusion: A city can operate in a sustainable and balanced manner if it can maintain its population, provide it with a decent quality of life and maintain and operate the city through their work, personal and public activities. The economic vision, which is also a strategic goal: creating a knowledge-based and environmentally-socially sustainable economy that provides quality living conditions for Biatorbágy.
