Extension of tram 1 to Etele Square

Establishment of a new tram line between Fehérvári út and Etele Square by extending tram 1. During the extension of tram No. 1, the two-track tram line will be extended by the minimal reconstruction of the temporary terminal established at the junction of Hengermalom út — Fehérvári út on Etele Road. The new track, about 1.7 km long, leads on Etele Road in the middle of the road, then turns to Somogyi Road, where the new 4-track headend will be established on Etele Square. Below the tracks there is a significant length of large, combined main ducts, therefore a 30 cm thick reinforced concrete load distribution plate is designed to protect it. A 54E1 rail superstructure is built in a concrete trough (Edilon-Corkelast or equivalent) on a significant part of the planned track section. The construction takes place with prefabricated Vb. elements in road crossings, and in other places with monolithic reinforced concrete length beams. The tram track field would be made with a grassy track structure, which is separated from the pavement of the road by a line of spherical glass on the section from Tétényi út to Somogyi Road. The platforms are constructed with sk+ 26 cm high platform edge, with a border spacing of 1.33 m from the track centre. Their useful length according to the new type of CAF trams to be operated is 56 m. In view of the electrical aspects and the territorial possibilities, a new sub-space converter is built at the intersection of Etele Road and Fehérvári út. The FCSM required the maintenance of a large-diameter channel under the planned tramway, so that a network of overhead contact lines fixed to two-sided common street lighting and overhead contact line support columns is built on the entire construction section. The design of the planned interventions affects the existing utility network. Due to the construction of the new tram line section, the following utilities need to be replaced, protected and new constructions: • Sewerage • Facilities to be operated by FCSM Zrt. • Installations operated by BKV Zrt. • Automatic irrigation system • Drinking water network • Water connections of the irrigation system for a wet track • Power line switches • Gas supply • Designed high-medium pressure gas distribution lines • Designed low-pressure gas distribution lines • Electrical network • Transformation of the affected low-voltage network: • Conversion of the medium-voltage network concerned: • Public lighting network • Energy supply of platform equipment The additional investments will result in the renovation of the section of tram line 1 between Győrffy István út — Mester utca. The current horizontal and elevation defects shall be corrected for the reconstruction on the current track and height design.
