Kelenföld railway station area, west exit, preparation and implementation of the modified junction of the M1-M7 motorway

The new two-storey road junction on the urban entrance of the M1-M7 motorway (Budaörsi út) facilitates access to the Kelenföld intermodal junction and the M4 metro line. The main elements of the construction are: • Reverse road lanes (underpasses) are being built below the main road track ABudaörsi út, which allow safe and fast road connection from the guard fields of metro station 4 for vehicles heading from the entrance to the M1-M7 motorway and from the centre of Bp. to the guard fields of the metro station, together with the construction of the necessary structures and public utility stops. • One new gateway is set up north-east of the Berehovo Road — Lower Berehovo Road axis and the other to the south-west of the axis. • As required by the licensing authority, a noise shielding wall is built in the separation lane of the main track. • New signal lantern junctions are being built in connection with the new underpasses at the intersection of Budaörsi út-Beregszász út and Balatoni út-Alsó Beregszász út. • The pedestrian overpass between Bozókvár Street and Sasadi Road will be abolished and a safe pedestrian-bicycle underpass will be built in the same axis with wheelchair and bicycle ramps.
