M0 Road Development and Reconstruction of the Southern Sector (Stage I) (without changing the structure of Ferenc Deák mederbridge)

The development of the M0 road south sector between 11+ 650-23+ 200 km sections is part of one of Hungary’s busiest expressways. The aim of the development is to rebuild the road section built in several stages into a fully-fledged road network element of 2x3 lanes with a uniform level of service and traffic safety with a homogeneous technical appearance. The replacement of the asphalt structure of the left track with concrete covering also contributes significantly to the reduction of maintenance costs, in addition to the fact that due to its longer lifetime, the number of temporary modal shifts and traffic restrictions caused by renovations is significantly reduced, which is a prerequisite for the provision of capacity linked to the volume of traffic on this express road section. During the project, based on the EU Support Contract of the project, existing plans and building permits, on-site surveys, the construction plan documentation required for the implementation of the reconstruction (including the climate risk analysis documentation) and the Road Safety Audit will be completed. During the implementation of the project, the left track with asphalt track structure will be rebuilt to concrete track structure, in the same design as the extension of the already built right track, with 3+ 1 stop lanes in width, 11.55 km long. Within the framework of the reconstruction, the traffic technical, environmental and other elements appearing on the section are designed in accordance with the technical standards and requirements of the age. Environmental interventions cover the entire cross-section.
