Applicant: The Forster Gyula National Centre for Heritage Protection and Asset Management (hereinafter referred to as: Forster Centre) is a central budgetary body and legal entity with national competence, which operates independently and manages it. In the present project, the Applicant intends to renovate the Festetics Castle in Dég, Fejér county, and to enrich its range of services with additional tourist attractions. Location of the project: Dég, Festetics Castle, HRSZ:1102 1101 43/13 123/4 123/5 Objectives: The aim of the development is to create a competitive, multifunctional cultural and tourist attraction, which can become the dominant tourist attraction of the region by promoting its economic recovery, the emergence of entrepreneurial capital, the implementation of rehabilitation and infrastructure development that is closely linked to the project to serve tourists, and to ensure profitable operation. In order for this to happen, the number of visitors and revenues set must be met. The best way to achieve this is to identify the target groups and address them with the appropriate marketing communication tools. Consortium: As a consortium member, Forster Centre involves Budavári Real Estate Development and Operator Nonprofit Kft. as a partner in the implementation and maintenance of the project. The consortium leader is Forster Centre. In the implementation of the project, the tasks will be shared by the participants in the consortium as follows: The Forster Centre prepares and arranges plans, related background studies, performs project management during implementation, manages the progress of the project with the help of professional colleagues and participates in the implementation of the project’s professional tasks. Budavári Real Estate developer implements the public procurement, all investment and professional service tasks, if necessary using the reserve. At the same time, it will take over the operation tasks of the castle from the Forster Centre. The Forster Centre accounts for the project costs gross and the Budavári Real Estate developer on a net basis. The aid intensity of the project is 100 % and the aid requested is HUF 1.5 billion, of which HUF 7.5 million falls into the ‘de minimis’ category, i.e. de minimis. Improvements: The classicist castle of the Festetics family and the organic unit of the landscape park around it, one of the type-creating works of the era (excellent designer of his age: It was designed by Mihály Pollack). The castle, the park and its numerous outbuildings together formed part of the Dégi Festetics estate. Most of the castle ensemble is degraded, but it is in a condition that can be visited, but it was renovated at the time of the children’s home. Together with reconstructions (my decoration, foyer, Sándor room) and the creation of modern exhibition rooms, we can ensure the visitability of the castle building, while the Dutch House and the Orange House are also renewed as an exhibition space. The part of the park after the serpentin lake was renovated in the framework of the KEOP tender, so the immediate environment of the Castle, Orange House and the Dutch House will be rehabilitated within the framework of this project, resulting in the creation of an organic unit with the already developed parts of the park. Project preparation costs include a feasibility study. Additional cost items e.g. licensee and construction plans involving an external designer, restoration plan and exhibition plan, involvement of an official public procurement consultant. Construction costs in excerpts: building renovation, restoration of built-in elements, construction of attraction elements for presentation/interpretation (tourism), renovation of the castle garden, car park construction. Equipment purchase costs: equipment for operating equipment, exhibition space equipment, acquisition/remanufacturing of equipment for display/interpretation attraction elements. Intangible assets included intangible costs of attraction elements for presentation/interpretation (tourism). Attraction: The former Festetics estate is also referred to as the “National Museum of Miniature”, one of the largest English parks in Europe, with its classicist castle designed by Mihály Pollack, as well as its buildings with unique value in their appearance or function, offering outstanding opportunities for tourism product development. KEOP’s garden development, which took place in several stages and this year, started favorable processes in the life of the castle, which was long without function. As a result of this project, the weather of Dégi Festetics Castle becomes an independent cultural attraction with a complex tourist offer that can be visited all year round. The planned investment has a positive impact on the image and tourist traffic of the wider environment of the site. The development-related tourism concept is built on the Festetics family and its links to the Dégi. The Festetics are an exc...
