Establishment of an EFI office in Kiskunfélegyháza district

The activities of the project entitled ‘Establishment of an EFI office in the district of Kiskunfélegyháza’ are carried out in Bács-Kiskun County in the Southern Great Plain region, and in particular in the district of Kiskunfélegyháza. Based on the demographic data and health indicators of the district and the overall objectives of the call, the most important goal of our project is to establish a Health Promotion Office in Kiskunfélegyháza district in support of public health processes. The fundamental objective of the Office’s operation is to support the prevention of cardiovascular and cancer diseases, to reduce early and avoidable mortality, to achieve mental health in the gait, to improve the lifestyle that determines health, to improve habits and attitudes that influence health behaviour and to increase the health awareness of the population. In view of the social and economic environment, the district is governed by Decree No 290/2014. According to Government Decree (XI.26) (XI.26.), the beneficiary is one of the districts. On the basis of the cooperation agreements concluded with the municipalities, the tasks of the Health Development Office to be set up in the project cover the following 6 municipalities: Kiskunfélegyháza, Bugac, Bugacpusztaháza, Gátér, Pálmonostora, Petőfi Accommodation. Among the settlements, Kiskunfélegyháza is the centre of the district, which performs tasks at regional level. This is where individual human service providers can be found, and health care is provided for the inhabitants of the district. In terms of the territorial scope of the project, the implementation of health promotion tasks is still at an early stage. Recognising the need for demographic and social change, Kiskunfélegyháza considers it a top priority to shape the healthy lifestyles of the inhabitants and to support initiatives aimed at improving their health status. As part of this project, the organisation hosting the Health Promotion Office is the local government of Kiskunfélegyháza as facilitator of the district. Although the Municipality is ranked 6th in the order of priority set out in the Call, the institutions before it have renounced the inclusion of the EFI. Following the strategy papers, our project aims to: — health promotion and prevention should be strengthened in the district, — in the district centre and surrounding settlements, the population should participate as widely as possible in the various screenings and health reviews, — to provide lifestyle programmes that take into account local needs, and the members of the target group should be able to participate widely, — to contribute to the development of healthy eating habits of those living in the district, and to the development of their need for regular physical activity, — reducing smoking and alcohol abuse, — reducing the risk of cancer, early detection and treatment, thereby reducing the mortality rate of the population under 65 due to malignant tumours, — improving environmental health safety, — developing a culture of health promotion in the workplace, — achieving a full range of school health promotion in public education institutions, — developing, maintaining, restoring, preventing mental health disorders and related: O the improvement of mental health and well-being of those living in the district and, in the context of this, a significant improvement in the indicators closely related to the state of mind that are characteristic of society as a whole, o prevention and care of depression, reduction of suicides in the long term, and reduction of school and domestic violence. we want to take on local community development.
