“There is a way out!” — Elimination of segregated life situations in Hidasnémet

Based on the publicly available database, a settlement, segregation, mainly inhabited by Roma, can be found in the municipality of Hidasnémet, the aim of which is to eradicate and integrate Roma residents. In order to achieve this objective, it intends to implement the following main activities from this funding source: Specific professional activities include: I. preparation of target group members and community for implementation a) As the first phase of the intervention, mutual trust-building, networking with those living in segregation takes place, as well as the involvement and activation of local actors. b) The details of the mutual support cooperation will be strengthened and developed during the same period with the network of municipal institutions, the farming and civil society organisations and churches operating in the settlement, with local/county/national Roma minority authorities and other potential partners, such as locally competent and relevant support and support providers (e.g. health and education institutions, employers) (e.g. health and educational institutions, employers) c) The applicant for support enters into a cooperation agreement with the target group members to be involved, setting out the services it provides to the Target Group member in the framework of the project, and the Target Group member undertakes to cooperate and participate in the project (the cooperation agreement is attached to the Call). II. Operation of Star- “Cherhaj” service point III. Preparation of the involvement of the target group, preparation of individual development plans IV. Ensuring continuous social work based on presence V. Improving the availability and coordination of local human services with the following activities: a) Confidence building and strengthening activities aimed at the settlement as a whole. b) Organisation of access to existing public services and municipal services for those living in the settlement; (c) Establishing cooperation with the local care system, with special regard to basic health, social and child welfare care and specialised care. d) Revision of the Community Intervention Plan, if necessary. e) Involvement of the people living in the settlement/municipalities in specific workflows. f) Conflict management, mediation. g) Providing background/coordination for the workflows. h) Detection of the surrounding employment opportunities (trained jobs, workplaces, transport, services, training, etc.) and establishing cooperation. VI Implementation of the Community Intervention Plan and individual development plans — Social, community development, education, training, health and labour market services. VII. Develop local human service capacities and strengthen cooperation between service providers VIII. Early childhood, childhood and out-of-school development and education a) Upbringing, skills and competence development of pupils living on the site. b) Trainings, occupations and community activities aimed at strengthening the role of parents. c) Promoting out-of-school children’s educational advancement and talent development, especially by facilitating access to existing services. d) Strengthening cooperation between the involved persons and families and educational institutions in order to prevent early school leaving, provision of school catch-up support services. e) Drug prevention and further education and prevention programmes. f) Development, stress processing, playful and sport-leisure programmes that convey positive patterns. g) programs supporting early childhood development. h) Promoting effective participation in pre-school and school education through the use of a start assistant to ensure coordination between the kindergarten, school and family (assistant in the project living in the segregation).
