Stara Zagora Municipality is a specific beneficiary under the procedure for granting unconditional financial aid BG16RFOP001-3.002 “Support to vocational schools in the Republic of Bulgaria”, which is implemented under Priority Axis 3 “Regional Education Infrastructure” of OPRG 2014-2020. In this regard, Stara Zagora Municipality will implement the project “Reconstruction, modernisation and introduction of energy efficiency measures for the building of the”Ivan P. Pavlov“, Stara Zagora Veterinary Medicine Building”. It falls within the Impact Zone II 2.1.12 of the IHLG of the town of Stara Zagora. The activities envisaged in the project proposal aim to upgrade and improve the building of “Ivan P. Pavlov” UGM. Upgrading the facilities will lead to an overall improvement of the learning process and facilitate the introduction of new learning methods that increase and retain the interest of young people. Improved conditions in the educational establishment, modern classrooms and cabinets will benefit students’ motivation for better and more active learning and their realisation on the labour market. The interventions will directly contribute to reducing the number of early school dropouts and will create prerequisites for increasing the share of graduates. Activities to improve the access of people with disabilities to buildings are a prerequisite for social inclusion and combating the isolation of this group from society.With the implementation of energy-saving measures, the project will contribute to the fight against climate change, the reduction of energy consumption and harmful emissions.
