The project “Modernisation of educational infrastructure in the field of pre-school and school education” is prepared in accordance with the approved ILUCF of Montana Municipality, aimed at improving the quality of standard of living, social integration, restoration and preservation of cultural and natural values and development of environmental infrastructure leading to sustainable and balanced development and modernisation of technical infrastructure and urban environment. In the long term, the implementation of the IHLG will support the achievement of the city’s vision, which identifies Montana as a dynamically developing agglomeration centre with a competitive economy, high levels of employment and a clean, well-developed urban environment with care for people in the perspective of 2020. Within the framework of Priority Axis 1 “Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development”, the activities in the project correspond to the implementation of the investment priority “Investment in education, training, including vocational training for skills and lifelong learning through the construction of educational infrastructure and training infrastructure.”The groups of sites to be included in the project in order to achieve the stated investment priority and which are in the designated urban areas of a certain social character and public importance included in the IHLG are the following:- DSG 7 “Tale World”: building and yard;- KALINKA 4 KALINKA: building and yard;- IVth Primary School “Ivan Vazov” and “Dr. Petar Beron” Primary School: building, gymnasium and yard;- PMG "St. Kliment Ohridski" and "Peter Bogdan": building, gymnasium and yard. Within these sites all mandatory energy saving measures foreseen in the energy efficiency audit will be implemented, and activities will be carried out to renovate and renovate the respective buildings and adjacent yards and improve the access of disabled persons to these buildings.
