This project proposal is aimed at modernising and optimising the urban transport system in the town of Kazanlak. Kazanlak Municipality has commissioned a feasibility study and financial analysis of the entire urban transport system in Kazanlak to an independent external consultant proposing 3 alternatives to a solution. As a result of a multi-criteria analysis (technical, environmental, economic, institutional, etc.), the implementation of Alternative 3 “Environmental and Innovative Integrated Urban Transport” was recommended as the most comprehensive and realistic for implementation, which thanks to the synergy effect of its individual components will benefit the residents and guests of Kazanlak municipality the most. The project foresees 4 main components: rehabilitation of main boulevards in the city (Rose Valley Blvd. — Stage 1); purchase of 7 electric buses; introduction of information system for management of urban transport and rehabilitation of 23 stops of urban transport. The project totals BGN 3 690 050,96 and has a total duration of 26 months.
