The full integration of Roma children in Bulgarian education is directly dependent on the creation of conditions for the preservation of individual identity, as well as on the creation of adequate conditions for education and training. The strategic objective of the project is to eliminate the unequal treatment of Roma children in society. The project is aimed at attracting and involving Roma children and those granted international protection in the education system. The target group of the project is disadvantaged children and their parents. The main problems leading to a lack of education and hampering the integration of Roma children are: 1.Difficult adaptation of children in the initial stage of education.2.Difficult learning of the taught material due to poor knowledge of Bulgarian language.3.Low literacy of Roma adults. The main activities of the project are: Additional Bulgarian language education for children for whom the Bulgarian language is not mother tongue. The purpose of the training is to educate adolescents and to acquire basic knowledge of the language. Promoting communication and joint appearances between children from different ethnicities is a core activity of the project. Various joint events will be organised in which children from different ethnicities will participate to create an atmosphere of convergence and tolerance between them. Working with parents to realise the need and benefit of education is leading for the inclusion of children in the educational process as a prerequisite for their integration and social inclusion.
