As a result of the long-standing operation, the reception buildings of the railway stations in Bulgaria are in very poor condition. This requires their modernisation, refurbishment and repair, including their installation systems. The appearance of the reception facilities at the stations is of great importance for the image of rail transport. They are in many cases the face of the railroad. It is no accident in Europe that large railway stations have been turned into shopping centers with shops, restaurants and car parks. Therefore, for the renovation and reconstruction of the old and for the construction of new stations it is necessary to develop different concepts tailored to the location of each of them. Of particular importance is the organisation of the service in the stations in order to create the necessary amenities and comfort for the passengers. The project provides for a complete reconstruction of the reception facilities (for Nova Zagora a new reception building), in accordance with the high requirements of the European standards in the field, which will guarantee the safety of passengers and the quality of service provision, a comfortable working environment for the employees, as well as the alignment of the surrounding space in accordance with the requirements for accessibility of disabled and disadvantaged people. Measures will be implemented to increase the energy efficiency of public spaces, introduction of intelligent, modern systems for management of heating, air conditioning, lighting, information, etc. Renovation and structural reinforcement of individual elements of the supporting structures, replacement of roof structures, partial functional refurbishment of the premises, replacement of electrical installations, water supply and sewerage systems, parking and public works of the surrounding area, etc. The project and its management is planned to be implemented in from 01.02.2016 to 19.04.2022-75 months.Detailed information is set out in point B.3.1 of the FC and Annex 1 to the FC.
