The main result to be achieved with the implementation of the project is 15.220 km of rehabilitated road section of road III-663. With the improvement of the transport and operational qualities of the existing road section, the road safety and comfort of the travelling residents of the town of Chirpan, Zetjovo and Celina villages will be ensured, improving the state of the environment by reducing harmful greenhouse gas emissions and extending the service life of the road. Improving the quality of life and working environment of the population, attracting investment, ensuring access to education and medical care, stimulating the development of tourism, as well as opportunities to increase competitiveness in the region, by improving the accessibility of the TEN-T network of freight and passengers within the region, thus also achieving the objective of the current grant scheme. Through the implementation of the rehabilitation of road III-663, the needs of the population of the South-East region of Bulgaria, especially the inhabitants of the Stara Zagora region, as well as transit through the region, will be met. The main activities set for the successful implementation of the project are: — Formation of a project management team to coordinate all activities and participants in the implementation of the project; — Selection of a contractor for carrying out construction works, signing a contract with him and carrying out rehabilitation of the site; — Selection of a contractor for construction supervision (Consultant) of the project, signing a contract with it and providing consulting services; — Carrying out author’s supervision of the site; — Selection of a contractor for the implementation of the information and publicity measures, the conclusion of a contract with him and the implementation of information and publicity; — Selecting the project auditor, signing a contract with the project and auditing the project; — Commissioning of the site, verification of costs and reporting of the results achieved.
