The project “Construction and reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in a separate territory, served by WSS EOOD, Plovdiv, Bulgaria” is prepared on the basis of Regional Pre-Investment Study (RPIP) developed by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works (MRDPW) with a grant from OPE 2014-2020 under procedure BG16M1OP002-1.001 “Supporting regional investment planning of the WSS sector”. The main activities envisaged within the project are as follows:- ‘Reconstruction and construction of sewerage and water supply networks of Plovdiv’;- ‘Reconstruction and construction of a sewage network of Hisarya’;- ‘Reconstruction of a water supply pipeline from PSU South to Plovdiv’;- ‘Reconstruction of a water supply pipeline from North to Plovdiv’; "reconstruction of a water supply pipeline from PS Katunitsa to a 50 m³ cut-off shaft, town of Asenovgrad";- "Reconstruction of a water supply network in Karlovo";- "Reconstruction of a water supply pipeline from HP 2 500 m³ to PS III lift — Parvomay";- "Reconstruction of a water supply pipeline from Stamboliyski PS to the regulation of the town of Stamboliyski. With the realisation of the project will be increased the collected and treated load of pollution before discharge of the waste water into water bodies, water losses in the water transmission networks will be reduced and the water supply of the population in a separate area served by WSS EOOD, Plovdiv will be improved. The implementation of the project will contribute to the achievement of specific objective 1 “Protection and improvement of the status of water resources” of priority axis 1 “Water” of OPE 2014-2020.
