The aim of the project is to increase the energy efficiency of the street lighting system in Kaunas district municipality. To achieve the goal, the main task is to upgrade the street lighting infrastructure of Kaunas District Municipality by introducing modern and efficient lighting and management tools. The activity of the project is the replacement of existing sodium and mercury luminaires with LED lamps and self-sembling modules. The project is planned to replace sodium and mercury luminaires in the areas of Kaunas district municipality with new, energy-efficient LED luminaires. The project aims to: — to modernise the deteriorated street lighting infrastructure; — reduce the costs of Kaunas district municipal administration for street lighting; — reduce the risk of accidents and crime; — reduce light pollution in Kaunas district and reduce greenhouse gas emissions into the environment. The duration of the project is 2 years.
