The assessment of the parameters of the waste water treatment plant treated by the Akademija mstl. found that they do not comply with the standards for pollution (BDS7, total nitrogen and total phosphorus) of waste water discharges into the natural environment set out in the Nemunas River Basin District Management Plan and the Waste Water Management Regulation. The aim of the project is to increase the efficiency of the wastewater management system of the Academy mstl. Kėdainiai district, improving the quality of waste water treated by the Academy NPP to the required parameters. After the implementation of the project and reconstruction of the Akademija mstl. wastewater treatment plant, the requirements set out in the legislation will be achieved, which are necessary to ensure good ecological status of water bodies and to meet the needs of the project’s target group, i.e. residents of Akademija and Vainotiškės residents, to receive high-quality wastewater treatment services and to ensure their safe living.
