The assessment of the parameters of the waste water treatment plant treated by the Kėdainiai urban waste water treatment plant found that the waste water treatment plants function effectively, but the treatment rates are below those set out in Table 2 of the Council Regulation on urban waste water treatment. The aim of the project is to increase the efficiency of wastewater treatment services and to protect the environment from the harmful effects of waste water discharges in Kėdainiai district. The implementation of the project and the reconstruction of Kėdainiai urban waste water treatment plant will achieve the legal requirements necessary to ensure good ecological status of water bodies and to meet the needs of the project’s target group, i.e. Kėdainiai city residents, to receive high-quality waste water treatment services and ensure their safe living.
