The aim of the project is to increase the security and reliability of the electricity distribution network and ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity to customers. The objective is to modernise transformer substations and distribution points using smart technologies. The planned activities of the project are: — Modernisation of transformer substations (Plastmases TP 110/6 kV, Rūdiškių TP 110/35/10 kV, Šalčininkai TP 110/35/10 kV, Širvintos TP 110/35/10 kV, Kaunas TP 330/110/10 kV, Šilko TP 110/10 kV, Kaišiadorys TP 110/10 kV, Ketaus TP 110/10 kV, Rumšiškiai TP 110/10 kV, Gudžiūnai TP 110/35/10 kV, Šiauliai TP 330/110/10 kV, AUta TP 35/10 kV, Kapsai TP 110/35/10 kV). Modernisation of distribution points (SP-4 in Vilnius, SP-5 in Vilnius, SP-72 in Vilnius, SP-75 in Vilnius, SP-77 in Vilnius, SP-78 in Vilnius, SP-312 in Valčiūnai, SP-1 in Jonava, SP-2 in Jurbarkas, SP-64 in Kaunas, SP-737 in Kaunas, SP-910 in Kaunas, SP-955 in Kaunas, SP-2 in Palanga, SP-4 in Palanga, SP-6 in Klaipeda, SP-8 in Klaipeda, SP-1 in Šiauliai, SP-1 in Kelmė, SP-3 in Šiauliai, SP-3 in Mažeikiai, SP-4 in Šiauliai, SP-10 in Šiauliai, SP-10 in Mažeikiai, SP-100 in Kėdainiai, SP-181 in Panevėžys, SP-4 in Druskininkai). The main factors behind the project are the ageing of 110/35/10 kV and 35/10 kV transformers, the ageing of 10 kV distribution points, the low automated management of the medium-voltage grid, the aim of increasing the reliability of the electricity distribution network, energy efficiency while reducing CO2 emissions. The TP and SP to be reconstructed are in a different state, but they are not suitable for any facility and do not meet the requirements of a “modern” substation or distribution station. Some of the objects use old analog relay protection when microprocessor relays/controllers are currently installed in newly reconstructed facilities, i.e. programmable industrial computers and transformers with reduced technological losses are being built, smart metering is being implemented for remotely scanning distributed and substations for own use
