The aim of the project “Tauragė District Municipality Community Family Homes” is to increase the accessibility and quality of services provided in the community for the residents of Tauragė district municipality, to develop services for families in order to provide comprehensive services to parents raising children, to develop positive parenthood skills, to strengthen the social and psychological resilience of families, to help families to solve the problems they face, to return a person’s ability to take care of themselves and to integrate into society. The following activities are foreseen for the duration of the project: organisation and coordination of complex services for the family and provision of services to the family, i.e. positive paternity training, psychosocial support, family skills development and socio-cultural services. As appropriate, childcare and coaching services will be provided, as well as information, counselling on complex services provided to the family, implementation of inclusion measures, information to target groups about other services provided in the municipality. The expected results are the creation of a system of complex community services in Tauragė district municipality, increasing the availability of social services for families, reducing social exclusion, developing complex services for the family experiencing a crisis due to children’s upbringing, divorce, loss, disability, etc. The project applicant Tauragė district municipal administration, project partners Tauragė Family Welfare Centre, Coordination Centre “Gilė” and Tauragė Social Service Centre. The function of community-based family homes will be performed by the Tauragė Family Welfare Centre, the services provided by the project will be provided by the Tauragė Family Welfare Centre and the Coordination Centre “Gilė”. Tauragė Social Services Centre will provide a personal assistant service. The duration of the project is 61 months, during the project implementation period 1600 persons will be provided with services in Tauragė district municipality.
