Project “Development and reconstruction of drinking water supply, wastewater management infrastructure in Kaunas” — UAB “Kauno vandenys”. The aim of the project is to increase the availability, efficiency and reliability of Kaunas city drinking water supply and wastewater management services. To achieve this objective, the scope of the project shall include: — construction of new water supply networks (~35.15 km) with access to 899 dwellings/1.915 Construction of Vilijampolė, Romainiai, Upper Kniūkai, Lampėdžiai, Šilainiai, Marvelė, Rokai, Zuikinė, Vaišvyava, Amaliai, Aleksoto, Panemunė residential districts) and new sewage collection networks (~57.43 km) with the possibility to connect 1.338 dwellings. (In residential districts of Vilympolė, Upper Kaniūkai, Lampėdžiai, Šilainiai, Marvelė, Rokai, Vaišvyava, Amaliai, Aleksoto, Palemonas, Vytėnai, Panemune and on the left shore of Neris); reconstruction of water supply networks (~ 17.52 km in residential districts of the Old Town, Žaliakalnis, Naujamiestis, SARGĖNŲ, Petrašiūnai, Vilijampolė, Žaliakalnis, Panemunė) and reconstruction of waste water collection networks (~ 8.76 km in Old Town, Vilijampolė residential district and on the left shore of Neris); ~Reconstruction of Kaunas wastewater treatment plant — 1 pc. Project duration is expected until 2021-04-30. The estimated eligible costs of the project are EUR 19.677.776.00, of which EUR 8.621.168,51 from the European Union Structural Funds and EUR 11.056.607.49 from the applicant.
