Development of the professional and adult teacher qualification system

The aim of the project is to increase the quality of vocational and adult education by developing a system for improving the qualification of teachers of VET institutions and adult education institutions, strengthening the social, subject-matter and didactic competences of VET teachers and teachers (andragogs). The target group is VET teachers and adult education teachers (andragogis). During the project, training of representatives of sectoral practical training centres will be organised, which will provide/increase the competencies of employees needed to ensure targeted activities of the centres. The estimated number of trained persons is 126. In order to improve the planning of the development of sectoral practical training centres, consultative training will be organised in the fields of planning, implementation and efficiency of activities. In order to gain international good practice, vocational education and training teachers and teachers (andragogs) in adult education will receive in-service training abroad. Training of VET teachers (700 persons) and members of the VET methodological commissions (42 persons) will be organised to improve the qualifications of VET staff. To meet the learning needs of andragogis, the project provides training of 193 andragogis. 4 thematic trainings (conferences) at national and international level are also foreseen. Results: VET teachers and teachers of adult education institutions (andragogis) will acquire and/or improve the andragogical, didactic, social, subject-matter competences needed for their professional activities. The knowledge gained will increase the quality of vocational and adult education and its attractiveness among the population. The potential of sectoral practical training centres will be more effectively exploited by improving the qualifications of representatives of sectoral centres.
