The aim of the project is to improve the infrastructure of the computer network of Lithuanian research and study institutions (LITNET), thus contributing to the development of research, experimental and innovation and integration into European infrastructures. The project will homogenise the LITNET optical bus, upgraded data packet transmission equipment, optical cable infrastructure in cities, thus enabling the development of a new generation of urban networks. The creation of a cloud technology platform will allow to create greater availability and efficiency of existing LITNET services, and new security solutions services — to ensure the resilience of LITNET services to the ever-increasing cyber security threats.
