The objective of the project is to increase the availability (universality) of centralised water supply and wastewater management services, to seek to ensure quality drinking water supply and wastewater management for the population, to reduce soil and groundwater pollution and the risk of pollution of groundwater resources in the project area by extending the number of people receiving water management services and improving the quality of water management services provided in the project area. The project provides for the construction of 3.62 km of new water supply and 3.58 km of waste water collection networks, the reconstruction of 11.51 km of water supply and 16.12 km of sewage networks, the renovation of the sewage pumping station in the city of Klaipeda, the inventory and legal registration of about 172 km of water supply and sewage networks in the city of Klaipeda.
