The essence of the project is to increase the availability of water supply and wastewater management services and to improve the quality of water supply and wastewater management services provided in the project area. During the implementation of the project Lazdijai and Šeštokai mstl. about 9.26 km of water supply and 14.60 km of sewage networks were built, and it was possible to connect to the water supply networks for 154 dwellings, to the sewage networks for 366 dwellings, as well as to build new waste water treatment plants in Šeštokai town (NGU-90 m³/d), which serve 209 dwellings and new water improvers in Veisiejai (VGĮ-16 m³/h), which serve 909 dwellings. The construction of new water and waste water networks has increased the availability of services, thus improving the household conditions of the population. The construction of new NPVs reduced groundwater and groundwater pollution in the Lazdijai district and the construction of the LRU ensured the quality of the drinking water provided to the public.
