The aim of the project is to increase the availability (universality) of centralised water supply and wastewater management services, to seek to ensure quality drinking water supply and wastewater management for the population, to implement the requirements of the EU Waste Water Directive 91/271/EEC for wastewater treatment, to reduce soil and groundwater pollution and the risk of pollution of groundwater resources in the project area, by extending the number of people receiving water management services and improving the quality of water management services provided in the project area. The project constructs 8.403 km of waste water and 6.582 km of water supply networks in Kazlu Rūda and Jurė village in parallel, allowing 110 dwellings to connect to the public water supply (253 inhabitants), 198 dwellings (455 inhabitants) to the sewage system, applying the population-housing ratio to Kazlu Rūda municipality, as of 2015-2.3.
