Reconstruction of national roads. Phase I

Project "Reconstruction of roads of state importance. Phase I' includes reconstructions of the following road sections: • Road No 136 Vinčai-Pilviškiai-Vilkaviškis 16,660-17.575 km. • Road No 136 Vinčai-Pilviškiai-Vilkaviškis 17,865-30.300 km. • Road No. 140 Kaunas-Zapiškiis-Šakiai 10,200-16.700 km. • Road No 115 Ukmergė-Molėtai 2,430-12.850 km. • Road No 115 Ukmergė-Molėtai 12,850-19.100 km. • Road No 131 Alytus-Simnas-Kalvarija 29,750-35.780 km. • Road No 131 Alytus-Simnas-Kalvarija 41,800-44.800 km. The project would ensure safe traffic conditions in line with traffic flow rates, road category requirements and established international standards. The implementation of the project will improve the infrastructure of the national road network in the territory of Lithuania and will have the following long-term effects: the conditions for transit and local traffic will be facilitated, the number of accidents will be reduced, car time will be reduced, road safety conditions will be improved, road maintenance and repair costs will be reduced. The implementation of the project will contribute to the creation of an attractive and safe environment and will have a positive impact on Lithuania’s economic development.
