UAB “GLASS LT” is one of the most modern manufacturer of specialised packages in Lithuania. However, as a result of the EU Directive 2010/31/EU, which provides for conformity of energy efficiency of new buildings with Class A from 2016 onwards, demand for two camera packs is rapidly increasing. The production of double-chamber glass units requires 1.5 times more glass, 2 times other materials, their production takes 1.5 times longer, weight 1.5 times higher than that of one chamber glass units that prevail today. This will lead to changes in production waste and energy efficiency management, logistics, works protection and quality control. Therefore, in order not to reduce production due to the expected changes in demand, the Company must move to larger premises, where there would be more space for the increase in stock and output, and to change the production process by acquiring a modern technological line, integrating existing equipment and automating production.
